We ended the final summer weekend with extra days,
an impromptu party
and lake activities with our grandsons.

There was also a parade that introduced me to more rural fun and I remained within the spirit of the event and drank beer from a can instead of a bottle.
All experiences are treasures. 😀
Where did you spend the long weekend? Which lake? And what a wonderful parade! Did you mash the empty can on your forehead?

This is Pine Hollow, the parade is in Wamic OR – 30 miles east (as the crow flies) of Mt. Hood on the edge of the high plains. It has a grass airstrip and we have a lot there with a hangar for Ed’s airplane, the kayaks, and an assortment of toys for family fun. Someday we’ll build a house there – the weather is dry and the sun shines 300 days a year.

That all looks fun. Would love some of your sunshine! Here in Cornwall, England it’s been a poor summer weather wise – lots of rain and overcast skies. So much for global warming. But it’s still a happy place to live.
